ALDI has expanded its summer private label sun care range in Spain with the return of its Lacura Sun collection across stores nationwide.
The retailer said the range includes facial sun protection, body sprays, sport sunscreen products, children’s formats, and after-sun care products priced between €2.99 and €8. The seasonal assortment is now available in all ALDI supermarkets in Spain ahead of the peak summer shopping period.
The launch highlights how supermarket private label ranges are continuing to expand beyond food categories as retailers compete more aggressively in beauty, wellness, and seasonal personal care.
The Lacura Sun collection includes SPF 30 and SPF 50 facial fluids with vitamins and hyaluronic acid, alongside Sensitive facial protection products designed for delicate skin. Facial products are priced at €5.19.
ALDI also introduced SPF 30 and SPF 50 body spray sunscreens with water-resistant formulas and hydration claims. Prices range from €4.99 to €6.29 depending on format and protection level.
The range also includes a Sport sun spray with cooling functionality and sweat resistance, as well as a transparent sun oil with SPF 30 protection.
For children, the retailer is offering Kids SPF 50+ sun spray and Kids sun lotion products designed for sensitive skin. Both are priced at €6.29.
The seasonal range is completed with an aloe vera after-sun product priced at €2.99.
The expansion reflects broader supermarket trends across Europe where retailers are increasingly using private label beauty and wellness products to strengthen margins and attract value-focused shoppers during seasonal demand peaks.
Across the wider Spain supermarket sector, retailers are continuing to increase investment in private label personal care categories as inflation pressures continue influencing household spending decisions.
Summer seasonal ranges have become an increasingly competitive area for discount supermarket operators, especially in categories linked to travel, outdoor activity, and family health products.
ALDI said the full Lacura Sun collection is now available across its Spanish store network.
