AeroFlexx has announced a strategic partnership with Packaging Imolese to expand sustainable liquid packaging production across European household and personal care markets.

The partnership combines AeroFlexx’s liquid packaging technology with Packaging Imolese’s manufacturing and formulation capabilities in Italy. The companies said the agreement is designed to support rising demand for recyclable and refill-ready packaging formats across branded and private label categories.

Packaging Imolese, part of the DECO INDUSTRIE group, operates seven manufacturing plants across Italy and is the country’s largest producer of dishwashing gel. The company also continues expanding its private label and proprietary product portfolio for household and personal care retailers.

As part of the partnership, an AeroFlexx filling machine has now been delivered to the company’s Imola manufacturing facility. The site includes dedicated research, formulation, testing, and production capabilities intended to support scalable packaging operations.

The companies said the partnership will help improve supply chain responsiveness, production flexibility, and commercialization speed for liquid household and personal care products.

AeroFlexx said its packaging technology combines features of flexible and rigid packaging formats while supporting refill and sustainability-focused retail strategies.

Packaging sustainability has become an increasingly important area for European retailers and suppliers as supermarkets continue expanding refill systems, recyclable packaging targets, and environmentally focused private label ranges.

Why it matters

The partnership highlights how suppliers across the Italy private label sector are investing in packaging technology to support retailer sustainability goals and operational efficiency.

Household and personal care remain two of the most competitive supermarket private label categories in Europe, especially as retailers push for lower-plastic packaging formats, refill-ready systems, and differentiated shelf presentation.

The agreement also reflects growing pressure across the wider European packaging supply chain to deliver scalable alternatives that balance sustainability, manufacturing speed, and retail performance.

What happens next

The partnership is expected to support wider rollout of AeroFlexx packaging technology across household and personal care categories in Europe.

Private label suppliers are likely to continue investing in packaging automation, refill-ready formats, and sustainability-focused manufacturing as retailers increase environmental requirements across supermarket supply chains.
