Albert Heijn expands breakfast range with 150+ new private-label items

Albert Heijn Expands Breakfast and Bakery Private Label

Albert Heijn has introduced more than 150 new breakfast and bakery products across its stores and AH To Go locations in the Netherlands.

The update focuses on convenience, everyday nutrition, and private label development.

The breakfast range has been expanded with new products designed for both home and on-the-go use. These include:

  • Oatmeal cups and overnight oats

  • Smoothie bowls and breakfast toppings

  • Updated own-brand sweet spreads

  • New savoury and vegetable-based spreads

  • Fibre-rich snack items suitable for lunchboxes

At AH To Go, Albert Heijn has launched a new range of AH Breakfast Pots, available in 14 flavours. Options include apple cinnamon overnight oats and matcha strawberry chia pudding. The retailer says around 80% of the range carries a Nutri-Score A or B.

The bakery assortment has also been extended with the introduction of OerDesem sourdough breads. The range includes 13 loaves, with six new additions to the Bakkersbrood line. All products are made using a long fermentation process of around 56 hours.

The Liefde & Passie range includes sourdough varieties such as:

  • Spelt buckwheat

  • Walnut and fig

  • Wheat and corn

  • Sun-rye

More accessible sourdough loaves have been developed for everyday use, including formats suitable for lunchboxes.

Two OerDesem products are made using stone-ground organic wheat sourced in the Netherlands from farmers connected to The Grain Board. Albert Heijn has also added matching flour to its range for customers who want to bake sourdough bread at home.

The rollout reflects ongoing investment in private label, with a clear focus on convenience, bakery quality, and local sourcing.
