Morrisons has launched a limited-edition Fish & Chip Afternoon Tea across its café network in the United Kingdom ahead of National Fish and Chip Day on 5 June.

The new seasonal café offer became available from 1 June in 343 Morrisons Cafés nationwide.

Priced at £15 for two people, the menu includes fish bites, scampi, chunky chips, bread and butter, mushy peas or curry sauce, alongside fruit scones with jam and clotted cream.

Morrisons has also introduced a Giant Fish & Chips meal priced at £15 as part of the promotion.

While the launch is consumer-focused, it also reflects a wider shift across the uk supermarket sector as retailers use café dining, comfort food and value-led meal experiences to increase store visits during key trading periods.

Supermarket cafés have become more important for retailers trying to keep shoppers in stores for longer, particularly as food inflation pressures continue to affect household spending across the UK.

The campaign also connects with changing customer lifestyle habits, where shoppers increasingly look for affordable social dining experiences inside supermarkets rather than higher-priced restaurant visits.

Seasonal food promotions linked to national events are becoming more common across supermarket cafés as retailers compete for customer attention during summer trading.

The limited-time menu is available while stocks last across participating Morrisons cafés nationwide.
