What is Fruit Attraction 2026?
Fruit Attraction 2026 is the 18th edition of Madrid’s international fruit and vegetable trade fair. It provides a commercial meeting place for producers, exporters, supermarket purchasing teams, importers and distributors seeking new products, suppliers and markets. IFEMA MADRID and Spanish produce association FEPEX organise the event.
Why are China and the UAE participating?
China and the United Arab Emirates are the invited importing countries for Fruit Attraction 2026. Their participation will give exhibitors more opportunities to meet buyers serving two significant import markets and explore new routes for fresh produce exports, distribution partnerships and longer-term commercial agreements.
How large will Fruit Attraction 2026 be?
Organisers expect more than 2,500 companies and over 121,000 professionals from approximately 150 countries. In May, more than 90% of the exhibition had been booked, with companies from 63 countries confirmed and 72,000 square metres of net exhibition space already allocated.
Which parts of the supply chain will attend?
The exhibition will cover fresh produce, agricultural technology, auxiliary industries and temperature-controlled logistics. Growers and exporters will be joined by packaging suppliers, equipment manufacturers, logistics companies and service providers, giving retail buyers access to businesses operating across the fruit and vegetable supply chain.
What will supermarket buyers find at the event?
Supermarket buyers will be able to meet international growers, exporters and distributors while reviewing products for future sourcing programmes. The fresh produce trade event will also provide information about crop availability, varieties, packaging, logistics and technologies that could influence retail produce departments and their supply chains.
What will the conference programme cover?
The programme will include the Biofruit Congress, Avocado Congress, Organic Tour and Factoría Chef. Fruit Attraction will also hold its first International Potato Symposium, reflecting the selection of potatoes as the event’s flagship product for 2026. Further sessions and programme details are expected before the exhibition opens.
Why does Fruit Attraction matter to the produce industry?
Major produce exhibitions help suppliers meet purchasing teams from markets that can be difficult or expensive to reach individually. They also allow retailers to compare suppliers, products and production regions as they plan seasonal ranges, manage supply risks and look for reliable sources of fresh fruit and vegetables.
What happens next?
Professional registration is open, while the exhibitor catalogue and conference schedule will continue to develop ahead of the event. As one of the major Spain food trade events, Fruit Attraction 2026 will bring suppliers and buyers to Madrid for business meetings before opening on 6 October.
