Everyday Rewards and American Express Partnership Expands Loyalty Integration Across Retail Network

Everyday Rewards Partners With American Express

Everyday Rewards and American Express have announced a new partnership allowing American Express Card Members to convert their Membership Rewards® points directly into Everyday Rewards points.
The move connects one of Australia’s largest supermarket loyalty ecosystems with a major global payments network, creating new flexibility for shoppers across the Everyday Rewards retail network.

The partnership enables cardholders to transfer 2,500 Membership Rewards points for 2,000 Everyday Rewards points, equal to $10 in Everyday Rewards Dollars.
These can be redeemed at Woolworths, Big W, BWS, EG, Healthylife, and other affiliated partners, turning card spending into instant grocery savings.

Everyday Rewards Managing Director Hannah Ross said the partnership comes as members look for more ways to boost savings ahead of Christmas.
American Express Vice President Nick Alexander added that linking to Everyday Rewards gives members new ways to use points for everyday purchases and seasonal spending.

Customers can make the transfer directly through the American Express App or desktop portal, with points appearing in their Everyday Rewards account within seven business days.

Why It Matters

This collaboration is a strong example of retail technology driving loyalty integration.
By connecting payment and rewards systems, Woolworths Group strengthens its data-driven ecosystem, helping suppliers and retail partners better target consumer spending.

For supermarket and FMCG suppliers, this shift means:

  • Greater opportunities for personalised offers through joint loyalty systems.

  • A larger, more connected customer base within the Everyday Rewards network.

  • Increased visibility for brand-funded promotions during peak holiday spending.

The partnership shows how supermarket loyalty programs are merging with fintech platforms, a growing trend among major retailers worldwide.
