The foodpanda Taiwan business generated approximately $1.8 billion in gross merchandise value in 2025 and is profitable on an adjusted EBITDA basis. Grab expects the transaction to contribute at least $60 million in incremental adjusted EBITDA by 2028.
Grab plans to migrate users, merchant partners and delivery partners from the foodpanda platform to the Grab app, with full platform migration targeted for early 2027. Delivery Hero will continue operating the Taiwan business until the transaction closes.
Grab said it will introduce AI-enabled tools including delivery routing, mapping, merchant analytics and marketing tools to support restaurants, retailers and grocery partners in Taiwan.
