Jim Beam Soda Can Relaunches in Japan With New Lemonade Variant

Jim Beam Soda Can Relaunches in Japan in 2026

Suntory will relaunch Jim Beam Soda cans across Japan from late January 2026, alongside a limited-time release of Jim Beam Lemonade cans starting February 3, 2026. The move strengthens the brand’s ready-to-drink whisky range in the Japanese FMCG market.

The relaunch follows a product name change from “Jim Beam Highball Can” to “Jim Beam Soda Can.” According to the company, the updated product increases the amount of bourbon used, aiming to deliver a stronger, crisper flavour profile suited to Japan’s canned alcohol segment.

Packaging has also been refreshed. Both cans feature a large central Jim Beam logo, with the soda variant carrying “World’s No. 1 Bourbon” branding, while the lemonade version highlights its limited-edition status. The changes are designed to improve shelf visibility in supermarkets and convenience stores.

The limited-time Jim Beam Lemonade can combines bourbon with a sweet-and-sour lemonade profile, targeting seasonal demand and impulse purchases. Limited editions remain a common tactic in Japanese FMCG to drive short-term volume and encourage trial without long-term range expansion.

Pricing And Formats

Jim Beam Soda cans will be sold nationwide in 350ml and 500ml formats, both at 7% alcohol. The 350ml can has a suggested retail price of ¥178, while the 500ml can is priced at ¥241, excluding tax.

Jim Beam Lemonade will be available in a 350ml can at 5% alcohol, also priced at ¥178 excluding tax. Retailers remain free to set final shelf prices.
