Migros Group reported total sales of CHF 31.9 billion in 2025, marking its centenary year with continued investment in food retail, price reductions for customers, and growth in selected business segments.

Sales from continuing operations reached CHF 29.4 billion, representing currency-adjusted growth of 1.1% compared with the previous year. This figure excludes businesses sold as part of the group’s portfolio restructuring programme.

During 2025, the company invested CHF 500 million in permanent price reductions across its supermarket network. It also launched a CHF 2 billion investment programme to open 140 new stores and modernise 350 existing locations.

The retailer expanded its fresh and regional product range and continued to strengthen private label development as part of its long-term retail strategy.

The Food Retail business unit generated CHF 24.3 billion in reported sales. After adjusting for divested companies, revenue stood at CHF 23.2 billion and remained broadly stable year on year.

Supermarket sales, including online operations, reached CHF 12.7 billion. Performance was affected by low-price campaigns and temporary branch closures linked to renovation work.

Discount chain Denner recorded CHF 3.8 billion in sales, showing modest growth. Convenience retailer migrolino increased revenue to CHF 0.8 billion, while Migrol generated CHF 1.3 billion in sales during the year.

Outside food retail, non-food sales increased by 13.6% to CHF 3.5 billion, driven by Digitec Galaxus. Healthcare services grew by 4.5% to CHF 1.7 billion, supported by Medbase operations.

The group confirmed that 2026 will be the first full year operating under its four strategic business areas: Food Retail, Non-Food Retail, Health, and Financial Services. It also reaffirmed its Vision 2035 roadmap focused on long-term development and customer value.

The Migros Cooperative Federation will hold its annual press conference in Zurich on 24 March 2026.
