Suntory Beverage & Food is expanding its ready-to-drink coffee portfolio with the launch of Boss Stand Iced Black and Boss Stand Iced Latte, rolling out nationwide across Japan from 3 February 2026.

The launch targets changing coffee drinking habits, as more consumers look for lighter, less bitter flavours that can be consumed throughout the day and across multiple occasions.

The new Boss Stand range has been developed to match modern “on-the-go” consumption patterns. Suntory is positioning the products for office use, commuting and everyday movement, reflecting wider shifts in the Japan FMCG beverage market.

Boss Stand Iced Black uses a blend of Brazilian and Colombian coffee beans. The company says the formulation focuses on preserving aroma and sweetness while reducing bitterness through updated roasting techniques developed under the BOSS brand.

Boss Stand Iced Latte uses Suntory’s proprietary espresso extraction technology combined with a custom milk blend. The goal is to deliver a smoother, lighter taste while maintaining the characteristic flavour strength associated with bottled coffee.

Packaging plays a central role in the launch. The “Boss Stand” design features a bright background and cup-style visual elements aimed at reinforcing portability and casual consumption. The format is designed to mirror the experience of buying coffee from a stand or counter.
