Danfoss to showcase food retail technology at EuroShop 2026

Danfoss “Go Beyond” visual for EuroShop 2026 food retail technology

Danfoss has confirmed it will take part in EuroShop 2026, where it will present a range of cooling, heating, and control technologies for food retail under the theme “Go Beyond”.

The event will take place from February 22 to 26, 2026, in Düsseldorf, Germany. Danfoss will be located in Hall 16, Booth D59, targeting supermarket, convenience store, and large-format retail operators.

At the show, Danfoss will focus on how integrated refrigeration and energy systems can improve store efficiency, reduce energy use, and support food safety across different retail formats.

Integrated Store Systems For Food Retail

Danfoss said its EuroShop presence will centre on store-wide solutions that connect refrigeration, heat recovery, monitoring, and controls into one coordinated setup. The company will present technologies designed for cold rooms, display cases, convenience stores, and larger supermarket installations.

According to Danfoss, these systems are intended to reduce energy loss, limit food waste, and improve operational visibility, helping retailers manage increasingly complex store environments.

Monitoring and optimisation are handled through System Managers and connected platforms, allowing retailers to track performance, temperatures, and energy use across individual stores or wider store networks.

New Controllers And CO₂ Refrigeration Components

Among the products on display will be the AK-CC25 case controller, the latest addition to the ADAP-KOOL® controller family. The controller supports multiple display case configurations and is designed for faster commissioning and servicing through the AK-CC Connect app, using built-in Bluetooth® connectivity.

Danfoss said the controller is aimed at improving daily store operations while maintaining stable temperatures for chilled and frozen products.

Also being shown is the ETS 5T stepper valve, developed for high-pressure CO₂ refrigeration systems, supporting operating pressures of up to 140 bar. The valve is designed for compact refrigeration applications, including convenience store and display case installations where space and precise control are critical.

Preview Of Upcoming retail Solutions

EuroShop 2026 will also be used to preview several upcoming Danfoss solutions for food retail.

For cold room applications, the company plans to introduce the AK-EC Lite edge controller, a compact monitoring solution designed to manage multiple devices and support cloud connectivity.

In convenience store formats, the AK-EC Convenience edge controller is designed to scale for larger systems, combining monitoring and optimisation tools to simplify store management.

Danfoss will also expand its Optyma™ iCO₂ condensing unit range, extending the use of CO₂ refrigeration to a broader range of small and mid-sized store formats.

For larger pack systems, the upcoming AK-PC 35 pack controller will offer flexible multi-compressor control and broad refrigerant compatibility.

Live data From The Smart Store ADC

At the centre of the booth, visitors will be able to view live operational data from the Danfoss Smart Store ADC (Application Development Center) in Nordborg, Denmark.

The Smart Store ADC operates as a working “living lab”, developed in collaboration with a retail partner. Danfoss owns and manages the technology layer, using the site to demonstrate how existing refrigeration and energy solutions perform under real store conditions.

The setup includes heat recovery systems and BOCK® compressors, now part of the Danfoss portfolio, shown within fully integrated refrigeration installations.

EuroShop remains one of the most important events for retail technology buyers in Europe. By placing its “Go Beyond” theme at the centre of its presence, Danfoss is positioning its solutions as part of the next phase of retail technology in Germany, where energy control, refrigeration performance, and digital monitoring are becoming increasingly central to store operations.
