Jumbo annual results 2025 show improving customer numbers and rising satisfaction, as the Netherlands supermarket group benefits from its revised commercial strategy.

Total revenue for Royal Jumbo Food Group reached €10.64 billion in 2025, representing around 3% growth year on year. Adjusted for tobacco sales and La Place revenue, growth amounted to approximately €300 million.

The number of unique customers per week increased by 4% to 4.6 million. Customer satisfaction rose strongly in both stores and online channels. Online Net Promoter Score exceeded 70 for the first time.

Full-year market share stood at around 20% (NielsenIQ), with growth recorded in the second half of the year after a weaker first half following the end of tobacco sales. During the Christmas week, Jumbo’s market share exceeded 21%.

Jumbo ended 2025 with 732 stores, following six net new openings. In the Netherlands, the chain operates 688 stores, including 12 Jumbo Food Markets. A further 38 stores were renovated during the year.

In Belgium, Jumbo continued to expand faster than the market. Turnover rose by almost 25% to close to €500 million, supported by seven new store openings. Customer satisfaction increased by 5%, with the estate reaching 44 stores by year end.

Online performance strengthened during the year. Customer satisfaction rose by more than 10%, while revenue from business customers increased by almost 10%, outpacing growth in the Dutch online grocery market.

Jumbo Retail Media reported 30% revenue growth, as brands increased use of the retailer’s media and shopper marketing platforms.

Private label remained a key focus. The Jumbo’s own-brand range expanded to around 500 products across more than 20 categories, including frozen meals, tapas, meat alternatives and plant-based dairy options.

Sustainability initiatives in 2025 included progress toward a single certification standard for own-brand dairy and cheese, increased use of more sustainable soy in animal feed, and greater emphasis on local sourcing for fresh products.

Looking ahead, Jumbo said it expects continued growth in the Netherlands and Belgium in 2026, under new CEO Jesper Højer. Profit figures will be published with the full annual report at the end of February.
