Coca-Cola raised its full-year 2026 guidance after third-quarter net revenue grew 7% to $13.4 billion, supported by higher global beverage volumes.

The company released its results on 27 October. Organic revenue rose 7%, while global unit case volume increased 5%. Unit case volume measures the amount of beverages sold through the Coca-Cola system and should not be confused with the company’s reported net revenue.

Operating income increased 12%, and reported earnings per share rose 8% to $0.93. Comparable earnings per share grew 11% to $0.91. Operating margin reached 33.4%, compared with 32.0% a year earlier.

Coca-Cola Zero Sugar was among the faster-growing products, recording 16% growth in unit case volume. The performance indicates continuing demand for no-sugar choices, although the group-wide figures do not identify the outcome of each individual supermarket account.

For supermarket beverage buyers, the distinction between price, volume and product mix is important. Higher sales revenue can come from stronger demand, price rises, changes in product mix or a combination of these factors. This quarter’s 5% unit case growth gives retailers a separate indicator of underlying demand.

The company reported increased global value share in non-alcoholic ready-to-drink beverages. That overall measure should not be interpreted as evidence of gains in every country or sales channel.

Brands including Coca-Cola, Sprite and Fanta compete for space alongside supermarket own labels and other international drinks groups. Retailers will be watching how promotional investment, zero-sugar innovation and pack sizes affect shopper demand ahead of the year-end trading period.

Coca-Cola’s outlook upgrade signals confidence in full-year performance, but supermarket buyers still need category-level information when assessing shelf allocation, stock planning and promotional activity.

GTN has previously examined the group in its Slovak FMCG company analysis and its Armenian FMCG market overview.

The next test will be whether year-end beverage demand and product-mix trends support the company’s updated expectations.
