Hormel Foods has introduced HORMEL® Pepperoni Snack Bites, a new refrigerated protein snack that will begin rolling out to select retailers across the United States from July 2026.

The new product expands the company’s pepperoni portfolio with a ready-to-eat format designed for the growing demand for convenient, protein-rich snacks. The snack bites will be available in the refrigerated snack or deli section of participating supermarkets.

The launch includes three flavours: Original, Parmesan and Dill Pickle. Each serving contains 5 grams of protein, and the product is packaged in a resealable refrigerated tray for on-the-go snacking and multiple uses.

Hormel said the bite-sized pepperoni pieces are made from thick-sliced pepperoni and developed as a convenient option for consumers looking for quick snacks between meals.

The launch comes as supermarkets continue expanding their refrigerated convenience food ranges to meet demand for portable, high-protein products. Retailers have increased shelf space for chilled snacks, meat snacks and grab-and-go foods as shoppers seek convenient options for work, travel and everyday consumption.

According to Hormel, the new snack bites will be available at select retailers nationwide, although availability may vary by location.

The HORMEL Pepperoni brand has been part of the company’s portfolio for more than 100 years and remains the leading pepperoni brand in the United States based on the latest 52-week Circana sales data.

What happens next?

Hormel’s latest product launch is expected to strengthen its presence in the refrigerated snacking category as supermarkets continue investing in convenient, protein-focused food ranges. As the US FMCG market continues to see strong demand for portable, high-protein foods, distribution is expected to expand across additional retail locations in the coming months.
