Mark Foods has acquired Newport, Rhode Island-based Endeavor Seafood, strengthening its position in the U.S. seafood market and expanding its frozen seafood sourcing and distribution capabilities.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The acquisition builds on an existing partnership between the two companies after Mark Foods made an equity investment in Endeavor Seafood in 2021. Following the deal, Endeavor Seafood’s operations and employees will be fully integrated into Mark Foods.
Founded in 2001, Endeavor Seafood specialises in importing and marketing frozen seafood products. The company was established by seafood industry veterans Mike Bush, Todd Clark and George Souza, who built the business around sourcing, sustainability, product quality and dependable supply.
Mike Bush and Todd Clark will remain with Mark Foods following the acquisition, while George Souza will retire from day-to-day operations and continue to support the business in an advisory role.
Mark Foods said the transaction strengthens its seafood offering as it continues to grow through strategic acquisitions. Previous investments include Bristol Seafood in 2025, Arista Industries’ Seafood Division in 2023 and Openwater Seafoods in 2021.
Founded in 2002, Mark Foods generates more than $1 billion in annual revenue and supplies premium seafood products to retail, foodservice and wholesale customers across the United States. The company also operates value-added seafood processing facilities in Orlando, Florida, and Portland, Maine, processing more than 20 million pounds of seafood each year.
For U.S. FMCG, the acquisition highlights continued consolidation across the seafood supply chain as suppliers expand sourcing networks and processing capabilities to meet retailer demand for reliable, high-quality seafood. Larger integrated suppliers can also support supermarkets with broader product ranges, consistent availability and stronger sustainability programmes.
The acquisition is expected to strengthen Mark Foods’ sourcing network and broaden its seafood portfolio while supporting future growth across retail, wholesale and foodservice markets.
