The Kraft Heinz Company has launched JELL-O Simply in the United States, introducing a new range of gelatin and pudding products made without FD&C colors or artificial sweeteners.

The new line includes ready-to-eat gelatin cups as well as gelatin and instant pudding mixes. Kraft Heinz said the products are designed to respond to growing consumer demand for simpler ingredients and lower-sugar dessert options.

JELL-O Simply ready-to-eat gelatin is now available nationwide in Orange, Raspberry Lemonade, and Blueberry flavors. The company said the products are made with real fruit juice and contain 25% less sugar compared with traditional JELL-O sugar-based gelatin snacks.

Additional JELL-O Simply gelatin and instant pudding mixes are scheduled to launch nationwide in August 2026. The range will include Vanilla, Chocolate, Banana, and Strawberry varieties made with ingredients such as real cocoa, vanilla, banana, and strawberry juice.

The launch also forms part of Kraft Heinz’s wider portfolio modernization strategy. The company previously announced plans to remove FD&C colors from its US portfolio by the end of 2027.

The move reflects a broader shift taking place across the packaged food sector as large FMCG companies respond to rising demand for cleaner ingredient labels, reduced sugar content, and more transparent formulations.

Health-focused reformulation has become an increasingly important category strategy across supermarkets, particularly in dessert snacks, beverages, cereals, and children’s food products.

For grocery retailers, the expansion of cleaner-label legacy brands may also help manufacturers defend shelf space against growing competition from health-positioned challenger brands and premium private-label products.

The launch comes as major food manufacturers continue adjusting product portfolios to align with changing consumer preferences around artificial ingredients and sugar reduction.

The wider us fmcg sector is expected to see additional reformulation activity over the next two years as large brands accelerate ingredient simplification strategies across multiple categories.
