Easyfairs has relaunched Sweden’s Nordic Organic Expo as Nordic Natural Food, narrowing the event to organic and natural food and drink and confirming that it will run alongside FFCR Malmö on 22–23 September 2027.
The organiser announced the change on 2 November 2026. Beauty and health products will no longer form part of the exhibition, changing the sourcing brief for companies that previously approached it as a wider natural-products event.
The two shows will share Malmömässan in southern Sweden. Easyfairs is presenting the combined gathering as Malmö Food Industry Days, connecting grocery retail sourcing with restaurant, foodservice and hospitality suppliers.
For supermarket category teams, the narrower scope should make the event more directly relevant to food buying. However, the announcement does not provide a confirmed exhibitor total, retail buyer attendance forecast or a published seminar programme. Those details will matter when suppliers assess the commercial case for exhibiting.
Co-location also gives manufacturers a chance to meet two different customer groups during one visit. Retail and foodservice demand can overlap at ingredient level, while pack sizes, preparation requirements and distribution arrangements often differ. An exhibition meeting is therefore a starting point for separate commercial discussions rather than evidence that one product specification will suit both channels.
GTN previously included Nordic Organic Expo in its overview of Sweden’s grocery and FMCG trade events. The new name and September 2027 dates should be used for the next edition; older material describing the former event should not be read as the current booking calendar.
The revised scope is also relevant to suppliers targeting Swedish supermarket chains. Organic certification, retailer specifications and the ability to supply the market remain separate questions from whether a product fits the show’s broader natural-food positioning.
Easyfairs’ visitor information says registration is expected to open in spring 2027. Entry will be free for industry visitors, with the show restricted to trade professionals. The seminar programme has not yet been released.
For buyers planning a visit, confirmation of participating manufacturers and distributors will be the next useful development. For exhibitors, the practical test will be whether the combined event brings the relevant retail and foodservice decision-makers to their category.
Editor’s Note: Based on Easyfairs’ announcement dated 2 November 2026 and the event’s official website and visitor information. GTN’s analysis distinguishes the confirmed relaunch from attendance, sales and programme details that have not been announced.
